Jonny Flash!

Hi there! New post from me. Last Sunday, I went to visit an old friend of mine, Jonny, who was playing at a Halloween show here in town, and selling copies of his CD. Quite possibly the funniest musician I personally know, Jonny has been living in Austin, TX, so to see him back up here at his old haunts (no pun intended) was quite a treat! Jonny plays ukulele and sings. He's got quite a stage presence too (just check out the links below!)

Frogg knows him as well, even better than I do, as he was part of a backup band for Jonny called "The Exhibitionists". Yes, that's right, put together, the name becomes "Jonny Flash and the Exhibitionists"!

Anyway, here's Jonny playing a recent song (that you've undoubtedly heard before), "I Will Survive".

Here's a link to Jonny's webpage and Myspace pages too! Lots of great pictures and other songs there too!

Just about a week away now...

Okay, I'm getting more and more excited about my trip to see Hunter and the cruise, that I can hardly think about anything else! It will truly be wonderful. I don't want to exaggerate things, but somehow I feel that this trip will be the start of my life, and that everything up until now has been leading to it. Doesn't that sound sappy? hehe Yeah, it probably does, but you have no idea how much I am looking forward to this.

Hunter and I have grown closer over the time we've been waiting to meet again on November 1st, and our love for each other has really blossomed. I've been in a singing mood the whole time, and have that lighter-than-air feeling around me quite a bit lately. I'm so excited!

Yay for company!

I've had the pleasure of having two visitors at the house recently, both from SL! It's really a lot of fun to get the chance to meet people you chat with online. Getting to see them at home is much different, and in lots of ways better, than being at a convention like SLCC. Mainly because, well, home is where you keep all your stuff, so anything you talk about you have direct reference to. Also, once it's time for bed, you get to be in your own! Don't even have to drive home! hehe

Looking forward to the weekend coming up, as we've got a couple of shows and I have Sunday off (which I could really use).

Take care everyone, and have a good weekend!

Shipcats

Lately I've been feelin' even more cattish, thanks to Hunter, someone I've started to care very deeply about. We've been friends for months now, and lately have started feeling closer to each other. :) It's nice to know another cat, as cats can be nice and cuddly together! Is their nature, yis!

Anyway, I've visited him before, but am going again in November and we're going to take a cruise! My first time on one of the big liners from Royal Carribean. It's just a few days, down to Mexico and back, but still: woo hoo! And I gets to be with a kitty who I find myself really falling for. We have a lot in common, that's for sure. Cooking, movies, traveling. And cats of course, mrrow! :D

It should be a fun trip, and it's less than a month away now! Yay! I'm looking forward to this trip more than anything. Hope to take some nice piccies for the Flickr strip up there!
